How To List Equipment For Sale:
To post a new ad to ForestryEquipmentSales.com, you must first be a registered user. Registration is very easy, just click on the Register link on the left menu and enter your information. Although your e-mail address is required to post an ad, it is not revealed to anyone unless you reply to an inquiry on your equipment.

Be sure that you use a working e-mail address. If you provide a bad e-mail address you will not be able to receive replies from interested parties.  Also, make sure to test your ad by sending a reply to yourself after placing your ad. This will ensure that emails from our site are not blocked by your spam filter.

After you complete the registration form you will be prompted to login. After you login click on the "Place An Ad" link in the left menu.  You will then select a category to list your machinery in and hit Continue.  Next, you will fill out the details about your equipment. Required fields have an asterisk (*) next to them.  After clicking on the “Continue” button, you will be prompted to upload photos if desired.  Simply click the “Browse” button to find the photo on your computer, then select the photo and click  and click "Continue".  Repeat this process until up to 6 photos have been uploaded and then click “Skip This Step”.  Next you will be prompted to make payment for your ad. Payment is currently accepted via Visa & MasterCard.

Can I Include Photos in My Ad?:
You can include up to 6 photos of your equipment at no extra charge. The image must be in the .jpg or .gif format (.jpg is the preferred format for pictures), and have a file size no larger than 1 MB (1000 KB).  Photo ads have a much higher view rate than ads without photos, so please try to provide at least one picture of your equipment.

How To Upload a Photo After You’ve Listed Your Equipment:
Click on “Modify An Ad” in the left menu, then click the “Modify” button next to the ad which you want to add a photo.  Click the “Modify Images” link in the top center of the page (under your current thumbnail photos (if any)).  Click the "Browse" button and you will see a dialog box pop up which will allow you to browse your hard drive and locate the photo you wish to upload. Once you have selected your photo, you will see the path to the photo in the text area. Now just click "Submit" at the bottom of page to upload the photos. If your images are very large this could take a few minutes, especially if you have a slower Internet connection.  Your photos will automatically be resized to the correct sizes.

How Much Does An Ad Cost?:
Ads start at $39.95 (29.95 renewal) for 30 days. 90, 180, & 365 day options are also available, see our rates here.  All ads include posting of up to 6 photographs of your equipment and all ads will stay listed for 30 days from posting date, until sold, or until you remove the ad. If you are an equipment dealer, you may be interested in our Dealer Program which offers savings on multiple equipment ads.  There are no hidden costs or commissions to be paid after selling your equipment.

How Long Will My Ad Run?:
All ads will run for either 30, 90, 180, or 365 days from the date of posting, depending on which package you sign up for.   Please remove your ad after your equipment has been sold, as it will help keep this site up to date, and reduce unnecessary phone calls to you.

Do I Need to Register To Use The Site?:
You do not need to register to view ads or to reply to ads. You will need to register to sell your equipment through this website.

Can you scan my photos for me?:
If you do not have digital photos of your equipment, we will scan them for you for free. Please send photos to:

Can I Make Changes To My Ad?:
To edit an existing ad, you must be logged into the site.  When logged in, click the "Modify An Ad" link on the left menu.  You will go to your "Browse Listings Page" which contains a list of machines you listed on the website. Click on “Modify” next to the ad to which you would like to make changes.  Make any changes and click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the ad.

If you wish to make any changes to your contact information, click on the "Modify Your Account" link from the left menu, and click the “Submit” button after making your changes.

How Will Potential Buyers Contact Me?:
Buyers will contact you through the information that you submit (phone number &/or e-mail) when you register. ForestryEquipmentSales.com uses a private mail feature which protects your e-mail address. Instead of displaying your e-mail address in the ad, a "Reply to Ad" link is displayed. The person replying to the ad then sees a form and clicks on a submit button to send their reply to you.

What Do I Do When My Equipment Sells?:
After your equipment is sold, you can delete your ad by logging in, clicking the "Modify An Ad" link in the left menu and then click the "Delete" button to the right of the ad you’d like to delete. You may also contact us with your ad number and we will remove it for you.

Searching Ads:
You can use the Equipment Search feature at the top of all pages to quickly locate a piece of equipment for sale, using a keyword search.  You can also use the "Advanced Search" link located at the top next to the Equipment Search to perform a more extensive search of ads.

Replying To An Ad:
ForestryEquipmentSales.com uses a blind email reply system for people who are replying to your ad.  This is done through the “Contact The Owner” form at the bottom of each ad detail page.  ForestryEquipmentSales.com does not release any registered user&undefined;s e-mail address.  The owner of the ad has the option of including a phone number and email directly in the ad if they choose.

Other Website Features:
Sending To A Friend
To send an ad to a friend, just click the link on the bottom right of the ad detail page titled "Email a Friend". A page will pop-up and allow you to enter your name and e-mail address, as well as the name and email address of your friend. An e-mail will be sent from you to your friend with a link to the ad.

Printer Friendly Version
Clicking this link will pop-up a printable version of the page you’re viewing. Depending on the length of the ad, it may be required to print more than one page.

View More Ads From This Seller
This will bring you to a page which will show all ads that have been posted to the site by the same seller who posted the ad you are viewing. If the seller is a dealer with a Featured Store, there will be a heading or banner on top of listings giving your more info on the dealership.

Privacy:
Any personal information provided on our registration form will only be used by ForestryEquipmentSales.com, and will not be sold, rented, or in any way shared with any 3rd party.
